PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officers observed what appeared to be a large fight on the patio of Z’s Food and Spirits on Feb. 11 at around 2:30 a.m. One subject was transported to UVMC and cited for disorderly conduct. Nicky L. Reed, 45, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
An intoxicated woman was reportedly found lying on the ground in front of Lucky’s Bar on N. Main Street on Feb. 12 at 2:45 a.m. She was given a ride home.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of several subjects possibly fighting on S. Main Street on Feb. 11 at around 3:30 p.m. All subjects involved stated no physical violence occurred and the argument was verbal only. All parties involved agreed to stay away from each other for the rest of the day.
There was a report of a dispute on Young Street on Feb. 11 at around 6:10 p.m. There were no reports of violence.
THEFT: Money was reported stolen from Heartland of Piqua on Kienle Drive on Feb. 11 at 3:40 p.m.
A cell phone was reported stolen from a residence on First Street on Feb. 11 at approximately 11 p.m.
A complainant reported a known person was refusing to give the complainant’s car back on S. Downing Street on Feb. 12 at approximately 11:45 a.m. The keys of the car were returned the registered owner, who took possession of the vehicle.
There was a report of three women shoplifting at Dollar General on Feb. 12 between 3:15-4:45 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: There was a report of subjects shooting the window of a Hinkles Auto Service on E. Main Street with a BB gun on Feb. 11 at around 4:15 p.m. The window was not damaged, and the suspects were gone before officers arrived on scene.
A subject reportedly punched a restroom door at Lucky’s Bar, causing damage to the door, on Feb. 12 at midnight. Contact was made with the subject, and he confessed to damaging the door, according to police reports. Darrin A. Opphile, 43, of Piqua, was charged with third-degree misdemeanor criminal mischief in connection with this incident.
TRAFFIC CRASH: A driver was cited in connection with a traffic crash in the area of Scott Drive and E. Ash Street on Feb. 11 at around 6:30 p.m.
VIOLATION: Donald A. Etherington, 57, of Piquas was charged with violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor, on Feb. 12 at 11 a.m.
HIT SKIP: A hit skip accident was reported in the Walmart parking lot on Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. The investigation is pending.
UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT: A man and woman were arguing while driving in the area of Looney Road and N. County Road 25-A on Feb. 12 at approximately 4:45 p.m. The woman attempted to leave the vehicle when she was reportedly restrained by the man. Ervin M. Maynard, 18, of Sidney, was charged with third-degree misdemeanor unlawful restraint in connection with this incident.
MENACING: A complainant reported an unknown woman calling the complainant and threatening her life on Feb. 12 at approximately 9:15 p.m.
