PIQUA — Michael P. Yannucci of Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home has announced the addition of Benjamin A. Zimmerman as a partner with the funeral home.
Interestingly, Zimmerman, while in elementary school, job shadowed Yannucci over 15 years ago. He assisted with the funeral home operations during educational breaks, weekends and after hours throughout the years of his matriculation.
“It is great to offer my professional passion as a funeral director, embalmer and cremationist in my hometown of Piqua,” Zimmerman said. “I am committed to continuing the relevance of our funeral home to the emerging trends.”
Zimmerman is a member of the Board of Directors of the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce, its Leadership Piqua Program, the Piqua Kiwanis Club and is active with his church. He and his wife Julia, a doctor of physical therapy, live in Piqua with their dog, Clapton.
Yannucci noted that Zimmerman possesses the energy and expertise to be a key component to the future of the family-owned business, which was established in 1940 by Thomas J. Jamieson Sr. Yannucci will continue to serve the community through his funeral home just as he has for the past 40 years. He and his wife, Sue, are the third generation of funeral directors of the firm.
