PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
HIT SKIP: There was a report of a hit skip accident in the area of E. Ash and Harrison streets on Jan. 20 at 9 a.m.
A hit skip accident was reported on N. College Street overnight between Jan. 20-21.
Another hit skip accident was reported on N. College Street on Jan. 21 at approximately 11:30 p.m.
THEFT: A caller reported that she had left her purse in a cart at Dollar Tree on E. Ash Street on Jan. 20 between 3-3:30 p.m. When she returned to the business, her purse was missing.
A debit card was reported stolen on Jan. 21 on Covington Avenue at noon. Unauthorized purchases were reportedly made with the card.
SUSPICIOUS: A complainant reported someone in a white SUV threw a cup of soda out the window, which hit the complainant’s vehicle on Nicklin Avenue on Jan. 20 at 6 p.m.
There was a report of fireworks coming from an alley behind a residence on Park Avenue on Jan. 21 at around 6:15 p.m. A resident denied setting off fireworks. The officer did not observe or see any fireworks being set off.
There was a report of unknown subjects knocking on a door at a residence on Staunton Street and running away on Jan. 21 at approximately 8 p.m.
CITIZEN ASSIST: A subject asked an officer to speak with two kids after they were reportedly prank calling a local business on Jan. 20 at approximately 10:50 p.m. An officer talked to the kids and a manager at the business.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A resident was warned for parking on grass and driving through a grass lot on S. Main Street on Jan. 21 at around 1:50 p.m.
A front window was broken out at a residence on Boone Street on Jan. 21 sometime between 2-4:30 p.m.
TRESPASSING: A woman was warned for trespassing and telecommunication harassment at La Quinta Inn on Jan. 22 at 12:10 a.m.
