COLUMBUS – Artwork by more than a dozen Ohio veterans, including Benjamin Anderson of Miami County, will be showcased in “Art Inspired by the Front Lines” at the Verne Riffe Center in Columbus, from Oct. 18 through Nov. 13.
Art enthusiasts, military supporters and the rest of the general public are invited to join the Ohio Department of Veterans Services and distinguished guests, including some of the artists, at 11 a.m. Oct. 18, for a welcoming ceremony that will include an official ribbon-cutting.
A total of about 40 works reflecting the veterans experiences serving in the United States military will be on display, including sculptures, drawings, paintings and photographs.
The exhibit, which is free to all, will appear in the Art Gallery’s extension in the lobby area of the first floor of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts. The Riffe Center is located at 77 S. High St. in downtown Columbus.
