TROY — Troy Police Department arrested three out of four individuals who allegedly pistol-whipped a Troy man in a hotel room early Wednesday morning.

According to Captain Jeff Kunkleman, Todd Norris, 20, of Troy, Chase Adams of Vandalia, and a 17-year-old male juvenile, are currently incarcerated and charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault.

Around 1 a.m., the victim, Thomas McQueary, 22, of Troy, called 9-1-1 claiming he had been robbed and beaten with a handgun at the America’s Best Value Inn in Troy.

McQueary was treated for the major head wound at Upper Valley Medical Center. Capt. Kunkleman said the robbery is drug-related.

The gun was located by detectives.

“Through the course of our investigation, it appeared to be a planned robbery for marijuana,” Capt. Kunkleman said.

Detectives are still looking for Braxton Dickerson, 21, of Troy, who is wanted in connection with the incident.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit attempted to track Dickerson who fled from the 500 block of Stonyridge Avenue from the home where police arrested the juvenile. Adams was arrested in a traffic stop and Norris was arrested in the area of 580 Staunton Commons on Thursday morning.

If you know his whereabouts, please contact Troy Police Department at 339-7525 or call Miami County Communication Center’s non-emergency number at 440-9911.
