October 10 to 15 is National Fire Prevention Week. Assistant Chief Lee Adams from the Piqua Fire Department will be a various locations around the area next week to hand out literature and give information regarding fire safety in the homes and businesses.
October 10: Fire safety presentation scheduled at 316 College in the party room at 3 p.m.
October 11: Bethany Center 11:30 p.m. with handouts and information available
PHS around 1700-1830 for a volleyball game
October 12: Luncheon at the YWCA with handouts and information
Alexander stadium from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and at Wertz stadium from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
October 13: Edison in the “Hub” from 0900-1100 with handouts and information,
Miami County Safety Council meeting at noon (in Troy at the Crystal Room)
Wertz stadium 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Adams said that the Piqua Fire Department wants to make everyone aware that “Fire is Everyone’s Fight”
