A busy weekend schedule for spring teams kicks off today.

In baseball games today — all scheduled for 5 p.m. — Piqua will play at Tecumseh, Bradford travels to Fairlawn, Houston visits Ansonia, Lehman plays at New Knoxville, Miami East hosts West Liberty-Salem and Versailles plays at Franklin Monroe.

The Piqua softball team will look to improve to 2-0 when it visits Kenton Ridge.

In other action, Bradford will play at Versailles, Covington hosts New Bremen, Lehman will entertain Botkins, Miami East hosts West Liberty-Salem, Newton travels to Greenville and Russia will host Tri-Village.

On Saturday, the Piqua baseball team will travel to Beavercreek at noon.

Lehman will now be at home Saturday and play two games.

The Cavaliers game with Lima Perry Thursday was rained out and will be played at 11 a.m., followed by a non-conference game with Covington at 2 p.m. — a game that was moved to Lehman.

Bradford will play at Marion Local and Versailles will travel to Tri-County North in noon doubleheaders, while Russia will play at Franklin Monroe in an 11 a.m. doubleheader.

In softball, Covington and Miami East will both play 11 a.m. doubleheaders.

The Lady Buccs will host Indian Lake, while the Lady Vikings will travel to Tecumseh.

Also at 11 a.m., Bradford will play at Marion Local, while Versailles will travel to Russia.

In track and field, there will be two big track meets — both getting underway at 10 a.m.

The Piqua, Covington and Miami East teams will all compete in the Tippecanoe Invitational, while the Bradford, Houston, Newton, Russia and Versailles boys will all compete in the Versailles Invitational.
