Piqua athletes get GWOC honors

Piqua’s Colton Bachman was named to the All-GWOC North first team in boys basketball recently.

Bradley Hohlbein and Nate Monnin were both named to the second team.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Piqua’s Kelsey Magoteaux and Mikayla Schaffner were both named special mention on the GWOC North girls basketball team recently.

BOYS BOWLING

Piqua’s Travis Smith was named to the first team on the All-GWOC North bowling team, while Mitch Havenar was named special mention.

GIRLS BOWLING

Piqua’s LeAnn Beaty and Sarah Ganger were both named to the second team on the All-GWOC North girls bowling team.

Rayna Brownlee was named special mention.

BOYS SWIMMING

Piqua’s Isaac Karn was named first team All-GWOC North in diving.

GIRLS SWIMMING

Piqua’s Corinne Tisher and Meredith Karn were both named first team All-GWOC North in swimming in two events.

Tisher was honored in the 100 IM and 100 breaststroke, while Karn was named in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.

WRESTLING

Piqua had four wrestlers named to the All-GWOC North first team.

They included Sam Herndon (113), Tristan Hostetter (126), Andrew Bolin (138) and Hunter Bryant (152).

Nick Baker (120) and Jake Hetzler (285) were named to the second team, while Brennan Hicks (160) was named special mention.
