The Piqua girls soccer team will play Sidney at 8 a.m. Saturday morning in a varsity only contest at Wertz Stadium.

The Lady Indians, 4-7-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the GWOC North, defeated Greenville 2-0 Wednesday.

Makenzie Ellerman and Riley Branson both had goals for Piqua, while Amy Burt and Brooke Bubb had assists.

Chloe Clark had three saves in goal.

Mom’s Club

5K run

The Piqua Football Mom’s Club will be holding its fifth annual 5K Glow Run on Oct. 10.

Runners are encouraged to dress in their best Neon.

Entry fee is $20 and entries received before Oct. 5 will include a free t-shirt.

Air time is set for 6:35 p.m.

Newton hoops

game change

The Newton boys basketball team’s home game with Yellow Springs originally scheduled for Jan. 16 has been changed.

The game will now be played Jan. 8. The JV game will tip at 6 p.m., with varsity game at approximately 7:30 p.m.
