TIFFIN — The Piqua boys finished 44th in the Division I-A race at the Tiffin Carnival Saturday.

TIFFIN — The Versailles boys finished 24th in the D-II boys race at the Tiffin Carnival Saturday.

Versailles top seven included Joe Spitzer, 27, 17:12.6; Noah Pleiman, 49, 17:32.7; Jacob Rose, 169, 18:53.0; Trevor Noggle, 212, 19:29.2; Jacob Wenig, 220, 19:35.4; Brooks Blakeley, 245, 19:56.7; and Mitchell Huelskamp, 282, 21:17.7.

McBride takes

third in D-III

TIFFIN — Brady McBride led local runners in the D-III boys race at Tiffin.

The Newton senior finished third in 16:05.6 to lead Newton to an 18th-place finish.

The rest of Newton’s top seven included Ryan Mollette, 58, 17:49.5; Atley King, 84, 18:13.2; Tristen Benedict, 141, 18:54.0; Brett Sullivan, 207, 20:18.5; and Charlie Walker, 215, 20:29.6.

Russia was 19th.

The Raiders top seven included Andrew Ball, 49, 17:41.3; Alex Seger, 66, 17:56.9; Ethan Monnier, 94, 18:21.2; Gavin George, 130, 18:50.4; Jordan Busse, 161, 19:22.9; Joseph Stickel, 253, 25:31.7; and Noah Mangen, 266, 22:08.4.

SPENCERVILLE — The Houston boys finished third at the Spencerville Invitational Red race Saturday, while the Covington boys were sixth and Bradford was 12th.

Houston’s top seven included Tristan Freistuhler, 5, 17:23.5; Ethan Knouff, 11, 18:01.2; Troy Riley, 12, 18:04.1; Jacob Slater, 30, 18:59.4; Dakota Francis, 31, 18:59.8; Parker Cox, 34, 19:04.9; and Devyn Ostrander, 49, 19:48.3.

Covington’s top seven were Dylan Kelly, 24, 18:45.6; Nathan Lyle, 26, 18:49.7; Josh Sowers, 36, 19:12.9; Hunter Brumbaugh, 43, 19:32.7; Mark Barga, 65, 20:20.4; Steven Shane, 73, 20:46.5; and Ashby Rench, 114, 23:09.6.

Versailles’ top seven included Kara Spitzer, 37, 21:01.9; Brynna Blakeley, 48, 21:19.4; Liz Watren, 53, 21:25.6; Kenia McEldowney, 71, 21:55.9; Tori Schulze, 89, 22:24.3; and Kara Langenkamp, 119, 23:09.3.

TIFFIN — The Russia girls cross country team finished third in the D-III race at the Tiffin Carnival Saturday, while Lehman was ninth and Newton was 40th.

Russia’s top seven included Lauren Heaton, 12, 20:02.8; Molly Kearns, 21, 20:30.6; Anna Fiessinger, 43, 21:10.3; Shae Goubeaux, 59, 21:40.7; Claire Meyer, 67, 21:53.4; Audrey Gariety, 70, 22:05.2; and Megan Frazier, 73, 22:06.6.

Lehman’s top seven included Jenna Zimmerman, 40, 21:05.8; Alanna O’Leary, 58, 21:40.0; Caroline Heitmeyer, 68, 21:54.9; Maria Schmiesing, 100, 22:38.4; Janelle Gravunder, 114, 22:55.2; Clare Schmieisng, 168, 23:57.0; and Caitlin Swallow, 255, 25:50.8.

Newton runners were Macy Flanary, 42, 21:09.4; Tatum McBride, 212, 24:45.9; Jalyn Huntsbarger, 264, 26:07.4; Vivian Brauer, 286, 27:16.6; and Emmi Fisher, 296, 28:14.9.

Shell second

for victory

SPENCERVILLE — The Covington girls put four runners in the top 10 at the Spencerville Invitational Red race Saturday as the Lady Buccs won with 28 points, while St. Henry was second with 38.

Carly Shell was second in 19:55.1; Anna Dunn was fourth in 20:22.2; Paige Boehringer was seventh in 20:48.5; and Ashlyn Plessinger was 10th in 21:12.8.

Rounding out the top seven for Covington were Kelsey Dysinger, 17, 21:46.3; Danielle Alexander, 19, 22:21.5; and Julianna Yingst, 22, 22:44.5.

Running for Bradford were Karmen Knepp, 6, 20:41.1; Chelsea Gill, 27, 23:13.4; Maia Stump, 44, 25:07.0; and Adria Roberts, 59, 25:51.1.

Running for Houston were Morgan Ely, 9, 20:59.2; Hollie Voisard, 15, 21:29.7; and Addie White, 61, 25:55.0.
