Lehman Catholic’s lone wrestler Wyatt Long (195) is one win from state after pinning his way to the semifinals.
Long’s first pin came in 17 seconds.
Long will face a challenge today, taking on unbeaten Daniel Beemer of Ottawa-Glandorf in the semifinals.
Miami East is in fourth place after advancing five of its six wrestlers to the semifinals.
Zane Strubler (138) had a 10 second pin on his way to the semis.
Graham Shore (120) and Alex Isbrandt (132) both had a pin, Kaleb Nickels (113) had a tech fall and Brenden Dalton (220) had a major decision.
Matthew Welker (182) is alive in consolations.
Versailles had three of its eight wrestlers advance to the semifinals and is in fifth place.
Advancing to the semis were Tanner Bey (145), Jonathan Moorman (170) and Jerome Bey (182).
Jerome Bey had a pin and tech fall, while Tanner Bey and Moorman both had pins.
Alive in consolations are Cael Bey (106, pin), Jacob Poling (120), Preston Platfoot (126, major decision), Jacob Rismiller (195, pin) and Jeffrey Ware (285, pin).
Lance Miller was the lone Covington wrestler to advance to the semifinals and the Buccs are in 11th place.
Miller (160) had two first-period pins to advance in impressive fashion.
Alive in consolations are Dolan Young (106), Riley Richards (126), Kerringten Martin (138) and Deron White (152).
Richards and White had pins, while Young and Martin had tech falls.
Wrestling was scheduled to resume Saturday morning.
