Rain put a hold on the Piqua Country Club President’s Cup championship match Sunday between Andy Arp and Chad Sherrill.

The match will be rescheduled.

In the opening round, Arp, the top seed, and Sherrill, the second seed, both had byes.

In opening round matches, Jeff Schaffner defeated Chris Francis; Paul VanDeventer defeated Craig Seitz; Doug Eakin defeated Doug Borchers; Scott Bradley defeated Dave Larger; Tom Christy defeated Dave Owen; and Kasey Carter defeated Al Rister.

In the quarterfinals, Arp defeated Schaffner; Eakin defeated VanDeventer; Sherill defeated Bradley; and Carter defeated Christy.

In Saturday’s semifinals, Arp defeated Eakin and Sherrill defeated Carter to advace the title match.
