There was again some outstanding performances at Upper Miami Valley BMX Racing this weekend.

Some of the top local performances in the Golf Cup Qualifying Saturday and State Race Sunday were as follows

Main Event Finishes

Carson Smith, 10, Piqua –– Second place Saturday, fourth place Sunday.

Brock Smith, 11, Piqua — First place and moved up to expert class; second places as expert rider.

Anson Cox, 11, Piqua –– Fourth place Saturday, third place Sunday.

Ethan Jones, 11, Sidney — Third place Saturday, second place Sunday.

David Scott, 38, Piqua — Third place finish.

Chad Thompson, 18, Troy –– Third place Sunday.

Local Riders Results

Dylan Westfall, 10, Piqua — Third place cruiser, fifth place in class Saturday; first place Sunday.

Tytus Kress, 11, Anna — First place Saturday; first place Sunday.

Seth Hiatt, 11, Russia –– Second place Saturday; second place Sunday after bad crash.

Brayden Hiatt, 13, Russia — First place Saturday; first place Sunday.

Nathan Scott, 13, Piqua — Second place Saturday; third place Sunday.

Eli Jones, 7, Sidney –– Second place Saturday; third place Sunday.

Corbin Miller, 7, Piqua — Fourth place Saturday, fourth place Sunday.

Gavin Hall, 9, Piqua — Third place Saturday, second place Sunday.

It was a big weekend with 101 riders Saturday and 124 riders Sunday from Ohio, Texas, Alabama, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Kentucky.

Fans are reminded that racing action goes on every Monday at 6 p.m. and practice every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
