WEBSTER — The sixth annual Christmas in July Golf Fundraiser in memory of Staci Jo Blythe will take place on July 16 at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.
It will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and all proceeds will be used to celebrate Christmas with needy kids from our area in memory of Staci Jo Blythe.
Entries and donations must be received by July 12.
Hole sponsors — which are available and very much appreciated — are $50.
These can be sent to the golf course at 9235 Seibt Road, Bradford, OH, 45308.
Information concerning entry fees and forms are available at Stillwater Valley Golf Club or on the website.
It will be a four-person scramble with a Peoria handicap system used.
Entry fee is as follows:
Stillwater employees/cart pass, $25; Stillwater members, $35; Stillwater Trail Pass, $40; Stillwater W.D. members, $40; Stillwater guests, $60.
There will be a 50-50 raffle, with a meal that is provided.
Prizes will be given for first place, gross score; first place, net score; and proximity awards.
This is the sixth year for this fundraiser, which is only possible because of its purpose.
Being with family, celebrating the birth of Jesus and putting a smile on an unknown child’s face was the highlight of Staci’s Christmas. She continued to “adopt” needy kids at Christmas for this purpose, even when she was in her physical battle.
Once again last year the proceeds benefited local children and children at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, who also receive treatment at the James Cancer Hospital at the The Ohio State University.
This fundraiser has helped almost 1,000 children in the past five years and will continue to into the future.
