Piqua offering many summer camps


Piqua boys basketball will be holding two youth camps.

The Heart Basketball Camp for grades 4-9 will be held June 6-9 from noon to 2 p.m. at Piqua High School.

Cost is $40.

The Big Heart Little Indians Basketball Camp for grades 1-3 will be held June11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Piqua Central.

Cost is $20.

Piqua girls

hoop camp

The Piqua girls basketball camp will be held June 6-9.

For girls in grades K-4, it will be June 6-7 from 10 a.m. to noon at Washington Elementary, while girls entering grades 5-8 will have camp June 8-9 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Piqua High School.

The camp will be directed by Piqua girls basketball coach Brian Gillespie.

Cost is $15 if registration is received by May 29 or $20 at the door.

Registration will start at the door 30 minutes before the first day of each camp.

Piqua softball

to hold camp

The Piqua girls softball camp will be held June 13-16.

The camp, for grades 4-9, will be from 6-8 p.m. each night.

Cost is $15 if paid by May 29 or $20 at the field.

Checks should be made payable ot PIAB/Girls Fastpitch softball.

Registration will begin 30 minutes before camp time.

Youth soccer

to have camp

There will be a Piqua Youth soccer camp from July 11-14 at the Piqua high school practice fields behind the junior high.

The camp will be from 5:30-7 p.m. for grades 1-7.

Cost of the camp is $40 and checks should be made payable to PISA.

Registration deadline is June 30 and walkins are welcome.

Henry to

hold tryouts

Former Piqua boys soccer coach Danny Henry will be holding tryouts for Piqua SC United U12-U13 traveling soccer teams.

Tryouts are set for June 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Pitsenbarger Sports Complex, with June 9 as a weather make-up date if needed.

Players should bring shin guards, soccer cleats, soccer ball and water.

Piqua SC United is new club program in Piqua where teams will play in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association and potentially the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League.
