Garage destroyed by Tuesday morning fire

Piqua firefighters wrap up at the scene of a garage fire on Blaine Avenue on Tuesday morning. The fire department responded to the blaze at 908 Blaine around 10:20 a.m. The blaze was quickly brought under control but the two-car wood-frame structure was destroyed. No injuries were reported. No damage estimate to building or contents has yet been established.

Importance of other viewpoints

Last week, Mainstreet Piqua held their annual meeting at the Fort Piqua Plaza. It was a nice event, which had around forty people in attendance to hear about the good work of Mainstreet Piqua and to recognize the great people and businesses that help make our downtown and our community a great place to live.
