Ryan advances to girls D-I district tourney
Versailles, Bohman earn D-II state berths

DAYTON — Piqua senior bowler Hayley Ryan finished fifth at the district tournament Thursday at Poelking South Lanes.
Ryan rolled a 659 series.
Beavercreek bowlers finished 1-2-3, while Wayne’s Haley Cummings was fourth with a 664 series.
The Piqua team finished 11th with a 3,467 total.
The Lady Indians missed the 10th and final spot to advance to district by 27 pins.
Other Piqua bowlers Thursday included Alaina Mikolajewski 476, Haley Huebner 350, Madison Kuhn 323, Sarah Ganger 280, Alycia Davidson 158, Ariel Miller 145 and Brooke Kiefer 137.
Tigers, Bohman advance
BEAVERCREEK — The Versailles boys bowling team and Michael Bohman of Russia advanced to the state tournament from the boys D-II district tournament at Beaver-Vu Lanes Thursday.
Michael Davidson led the Tigers with a 7171 series, while Alex Groff had a 616 and Ben Arhens rolled a 609.
Dustin Ruhe had a 388 for two games, while Zach Marshal rolled a 215 and Ryan Watren added a 212.
Bohman qualified as an individual with a 606 series.
