Feb. 4

Piqua High School, 1 Indian Trail, Piqua — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Hershey’s, 987 E. Ash St., Piqua — The dipper well was turned off. This must be on so water can flow and wash away food debris. Store utensils clean and dry, in product with handle out, or in running, draining water.

Subway, 987 E. Ash St., Piqua — The third compartment in three compartment sink not holding water. Repair so items can be properly washed, rinsed, and sanitized.

Pretzel Time, 987 E. Ash St., Piqua — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Pizza Di Roma, 987 E. Ash St., Piqua — The following items need to be cleaned: three compartment sink, can opener, slicer, and food container. The three compartment sink was not working. Repair. Provide paper towels at the hand sink so hands can be washed as needed.

Charley’s Steakery, 987 E. Ash St., Piqua — Provide lid for bulk salt container to protect from possible contaminants. The following items need to be cleaned: microwave interior, small prep unit interior, slicer and vegetable cutter. Remove unused equipment from facility to aid cleaning.

KFC, 1251 E. Ash St., Piqua — The chicken walk-in needs to be cleaned.

Wendy’s, 1221 E. Ash St., Piqua — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Feb. 8

Piqua Manor, 1840 W. High St. — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Piqua Central Intermediate, 807 Nicklin Ave., Piqua — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Feb. 9

China Garden Buffet, 1284 E. Ash St., Piqua — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Lighthouse Cafe, 213 N. Main St., Piqua — Observed food employee handle ready to eat food with bare hands. Bare hand contact is not permitted with ready to eat food. Must use gloves, tongs, etc.

Wiping cloth on counter. Must keep those items in sanitizer between uses to prevent bacterial growth.

Date all ready to eat TCS foods with date opened or prepared. Cut lettuce, cut tomatoes, cold meat, etc. without dates. Date with date opened or made. Discard after seven days.

Turkey thawing on counter at room temperature. Do not thaw at room temperature. Only thaw in refrigerator, in running, draining water, while cooking, or in microwave if cooking immediately after.

Provide them tipped metal item thermometer so food temperature can accurately be monitored.

There was no sanitizer being dispensed in dishwasher. Must dispense 50 ppm chlorine to properly sanitize. Manually sanitize with three compartment sink until repaired.

Hand sink hot water only reaching 84F. Must be at least 100F.

Ceiling vent cover missing above dishwasher. Replace to prevent possible contamination.
