Restaurant inspections

Restaurant inspections are performed in the county by Miami County Public Health, except in Piqua, which has its own health department. June 29

Arbogast Buick Pontiac GMC Inc., 3540 S. County Line Road 25-A, Troy —No violations observed at the time. Is very good. Nice job.

Big Mike’s Gas and Go, 1333 Archer Drive, Troy — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Cassano’s, 1201 Experiment Farm Road, Troy — Some debris build-up in utensil drawer. Clean and sanitize regularly. Bag of pepperoni with no date mark. Temperature-controlled foods must be date marked with seven days. Measuring bowls stored in food. Store on other side of food to prevent cross-contamination.

Cold Stone Creamery, 1187 Experiment Farm Road, Troy — Storage rack above three-tank sink has some dirt/debris build-up. Clean more regularly.

Early Beginnings Child Care and Learning Center, 1021 S. Dorset Road, Troy — Satisfactory at time of inspection.

Hothead Burrito, 1287 S. Dorset Road, Troy — Observed caulking on three-compartment sink and hand sink that needs replaced/recaulked. Observed cart with food residual. Clean properly and when needed. Also observed grill area with food oil residual (clean.) Observed three-compartment sink and hand sink with residual build-up. Deep clean every 24 hours or when needed.

SpringMeade Health Center, 4375 S. County Road 25A, Tipp City — Replace caulking at dishwasher area. Dishwasher area has low grout areas throughout the area and food service area has low grout areas. Regrout between areas is at proper levels.

Union Street Cafe, 251 Union Street, Troy — Follow-up for level-one food protection certificate for person-in-charge per shift. New manager has been put in place, so food service has seven days to complete this training with two managers. In not completed a hearing will be scheduled with Director of Health. Observed water leak at hood vent. Fix issue immediately. Have roof inspected for leak area and seal. Fix water entry issue. Ensure water does not contaminate food.

He5 Asian Bistro, 121 E. Staunton Road, Troy — Observed handles of equipment with food oil residual. Clean handles daily or when needed. Note: ensure a sanitizer bucket is present for wiping cloths. To wipe down surfaces with a sanitizer (chlorine.)
