Local swimmers competed in the Southwest Classic over the weekend, the largest high school swim meet with approximately 2,800 swimmers.
Versailles had a number of swimmers make the finals.
Lexi Fliehman finished sixth in the 50 freestyle, 24.81; and 13th in the 100 freestyle, 54.33.
All four relays made the finals.
Finishing sixth was the 200 freeestyle (Ashlyn Corodnnier, Abbey Marshal, Rachel Subler, Fliehman), 1:40.39.
Finishing 13th were the 200 medley (Marshal, Heather Albers, Cordonnier, Fliehman), 1:54.26; and 400 medley (Marshal, Albers, Cordonnier, Fliehman), 4:12.98.
Finishing 15th was the 400 freestyle (Cordonnier, Marshal, Subler, Fliehman), 3:46.38.
Miami East’s Meredith Richters finished 16th in the 400 individual medley, 4:56.74.
In the boys finals, Versailles had three competitors.
Harrison Detrick was 16th in the 50 breaststroke, 31.60; while Cole Condon was 16th in the 50 butterfly, 27.01.
Clint Morgan qualified for the 50 backstroke, but was DQ’d.
Lehman’s Eli Baker advanced in the 50 backstroke, finishing 13th in 28.60.
At the Miami University prelims, Versailles had two winners.
They were Lexie Fliehman in the girls 50 freestyle, 24.82; and Harrison Detrick in the 50 breaststroke, 31.37.
At the Trotwood preliminaries, Piqua’s Corinne Tisher was a double winner.
Tisher swept the 100 breaststroke, 1:11.20; and 200 breaststroke, 2:39.54.
Miami East’s Meredith Richters swept the 100 IM, 1:06.56; and 400 IM, 4:56.24.
