TROY — Come experience the Golden Age of Aviation at WACO’s Annual Homecoming & Fly-In, an opportunity for WACO owners and enthusiasts to gather and celebrate the history of the WACO factory and the planes it produced.
WACO was the largest manufacturer of civil aircraft in the 1920s and 30s and was located in Troy. WACO was the largest employer in the Miami County through the Depression. The fly-In is Sept. 12-14 with Saturday being the big day, which includes activities in the children’s tent, RC demonstrations, WACO parade, food vendors, WACO rides and more. There will be a large display of vintage WACO airplanes as well as other general aviation flying machines.
