TROY — Two men were injured — and taken to area hospitals — Sunday following a collision on the bike path in Troy.
According to Troy Fire Department Platoon Commander Don Pemberton, the two men — one heading north, one heading south — apparently collided head-on at the S-curves near the Troy Foundation Bridge between State Route 41 and Dye Mill Road at about 12:32 p.m. Sunday.
Pemberton said one man was unconscious and was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. The other male was complaining of chest pains and was taken by squad to Upper Valley Medical Center, he said.
Pemberton said bringing the men back out of the bike path posed some complications, and the ambulance had to back out of the scene following rescuing the injured males.
The Troy Fire Department and Miami County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
The men’s names were unavailable as of newspaper deadline.
