TROY — Just prior to the 2014 Troy Strawberry Festival’s move to downtown Troy, the festival’s manager has announced she’s leaving the organization.

“I will confirm that I have decided that this will be my last festival as the manager. For the 2014 festival, I am going to continue working part-time to see it through and help to train the next manager the chamber chooses,” Dorsten said. “JC Wallace, the chamber board and the festival committee have been very supportive in this process and I am very grateful for all I have learned over the years.”

Dorsten, and her husband, Robert, are expecting their first child this fall, and she said she has accepted another part-time position elsewhere.

“Moving into a more flexible work environment will be better for me personally and professionally,” she said.

This year’s festival will be held June 6-8.

Dorsten also was the Teen Leadership Troy director.

She was first named the festival manager in January 2011.
