TROY — WACO Historical Society is offering 4 lessons developed by NASA education specialists. These lessons provide fun, hands-on activities that encourage communication skills, problem-solving, teamwork and creativity.

The presence of water, in solid, liquid, and gaseous forms, is one of the primary factors that distinguish Earth from its neighbors in the solar system. In this course, students compare the amount of land and water on Earth; consider craters as evidence of a lack of water on other planets; define and locate water bodies found on Earth; and identify changes that occur in these water bodies. All of this is done with the aid of satellite imagery provided by NASA. Water based experiments and activities will deepen the understanding of the behavior of the Earth’s water resources.
