Fraud: Police responded to Unity National Bank, 215 N. Wayne St., after fraudulent travelers checks were found at the business. The check was left on the counter, unsigned, and the bank did not know who had it before that.
Disturbance: Police responded to the 300 block of Commercial Street after two sisters were arguing in the street. Both females admitted getting into an argument over doing things around the house.
Burglary: Police responded to the 200 block of East Main Street after someone broke into a detached garage. Vehicle damage was reported and property was taken from a vehicle as well.
Criminal damage: Police responded to the 1600 block of New Haven Road after a victim advised that someone drove through her yard overnight.
Assault: Police responded to Payless Shoes, 987 E. Ash St., after a female was assaulted at the business. The victim reported that two females assaulted her and took her phone and wallet. The suspects were identified and robbery charges were filed against both female suspects.
Assault: Police responded to the intersection of Vine and Lincoln streets after a subject reported he was attacked by another subject while walking away from a fight. The case is pending.
Disturbance: Police responded to the 900 block of Covington Avenue after a mother was assaulted by her teen-aged daughter.
Theft: Police responded to Kroger, 1510 Covington Ave., after security caught a suspect shoplifting food and beauty items. The female suspect was arrested for theft.
Theft: Police responded to Walmart, 1300 E. Ash St., after a male and female known to loss prevention officers from a previous theft offense stole items from the store again. Both suspects were gone by the time police arrived. Warrants were requested for both suspects.
Disorderly conduct: Police responded to Waffle House, 1232 E. Ash St., after a male customer became upset with restaurant employees. He alleged an employee tried spitting on him. The employee denied the allegation.
Suspicious priority: Police responded to the intersection of West High and Caldwell streets after a subject was assaulted by an unknown suspect. The victim did not wish to cooperate. He would not say who the suspect was.
Disturbance: Police responded to the 900 block of New Haven Road after brothers got into a fight, but neither wished to file charges. One brother left with another family member.
Suspicious person: Police responded to the 1400 block of Plum Street after a complainant reported a subject in a white coat was knocking on her window. She requested the area be checked. Police did not find anything.
