TROY — Habitat for Humanity of Miami & Shelby Counties has announced the addition of Diane Pleiman as the newest member to the board of trustees, and Eric Dilley as an AmeriCorps/VISTA member.

Pleiman, a graduate of Wright State University with a master’s in business administration, works full-time as vice president of operations for Premier Health at Upper Valley Medical Center.

“Habitat for Humanity’s holistic approach to extensively educating the family members and requiring the family to volunteer on their home and other projects aligns with my personal values,” Pleiman said.

She resides in Fort Loramie with her family and is active with the Fort Loramie Booster Club, Fort Loramie ACE Committee, Fort Loramie GYM Committee, and Ohio FCCLA Alumni and Associates. She also serves on her local parish council.

“Serving on the board of a thriving non-profit like HFHMSCO requires dedication, time and a commitment to improving our community. We welcome our first Board member from Shelby County” said, Matthew Mottice, Board President in welcoming Mrs. Pleiman.

Dilley relocated from Carroll, Ohio, and completed training at Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) in Atlanta, where he was introduced to the relationship between Habitat and AmeriCorps/VISTA. He will serve a one-year commitment as an AmeriCorps/VISTA member for HFHMSCO.

“Throughout the year, Eric will develop, document, and implement plans to mobilize and increase our donation procurement and volunteerism programs for the Habitat ReStore,” said ReStore Manager Sharon McGill.

HFHMSCO also will be celebrating its 50th build at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, with the dedication of a three-bedroom house at 208 Fourth St. in Piqua. The house will be the home of Yvette Cooper and family. The general public is welcome to attend.
