Summer salad luncheons continue

COVINGTON — The Women’s Fellowship of the Covington United Church of Christ will host a summer salad luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 18. For a small donation, diners may enjoy a large assortment of homemade salads, desserts, finger sandwiches, and a breverage. Hot chicken salad will also be available. Use the baement entrance in the alley on the north side of the church, which is located at 115 N. Pearl St.

The luncheons continue on the third Friday of each month through October.

Blast Off set for Saturday

PIQUA — St. John’s Lutheran Church, 248 Wood St., Piqua, will host Blast Off Saturday vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday.

Activities are planned for children age 3 through 6th grade. Lunch is included and there is no charge. Come and bring family and friends for an out-of-this-world Bible adventure.

Have a blast games, music and more and a mission send off where kids will be launched on a mission of God’s love. Call the church at 773-3284 for more information and registration.

Rummage sale hosted by Piqua parishes

PIQUA — Don’t miss the Rummage Sale this weekend sponsored by St. Mary and St. Boniface Catholic Churches. Held in the Caserta Activity Center, 218 South Downing, sale hours are Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 7:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lots and lots of items for sale, plus a refreshment stand, baked goods, and “no cost” religious items.
