Church to host PraiseFest


PIQUA — Trinity Church invites the public to their 2nd annual PraiseFest at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15. This is a free event featuring many different praise and worship teams and choirs, along with soloists and special singing. Trinity is located at 622 Gordon St., Piqua. Covington church plans dinner


COVINGTON — The Covington United Church of Christ is having their annual Chicken & Noodle Dinner on Saturday, March 22. Serving time is from 4:30-7 p.m.


The dinner features homemade noodles and chicken, real mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, homemade rolls and assorted desserts. The cost of the dinner is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Carry outs are available. The church is located at 115 N. Pearl St. in Covington.


Proceeds from this dinner go to offset the costs of the youth activities and camps. Mark your calendars and plan to join us for a delicious homemade dinner and fellowship.

Fish Fries at St. Mary Church


PIQUA — Lenten fish fries at St. Mary Church in Piqua will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 14. Dinner consists of all the fish you can eat along with french fries or macaroni and cheese, cole slaw or applesauce, roll, and coffee. Baked fish will also be available. Desserts and soft drinks are sold a-la-carte.


Prices are: $8 for adults; $7 for seniors; $6 for children 12 and under. Carry outs are also available for $7.


Soup, Salad and Sub dinner set at St. Boniface


PIQUA — St. Boniface Catholic Church, Piqua, invites the public to its annual “Soup, Salad, & Sub Dinner” on Saturday, March 15. A variety of “homemade” soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts will be featured. Also, there will be door prizes every half hour, games/prizes for the children, a 50/50 drawing, and silent auction.


Held in the Fr. Angelo Caserta Activity Center, 218 South Downing St., dinner hours are 5-7:30pm.


Tickets in advance are $10/adult and may be purchased by contacting Tim Hutton, 397-0140, Chuck Peltier, 778-1250, or at the parish office, 310 Downing St. Tickets at the door are $12/adult; $6/children ages 6-12; and 5 & under are free.


Proceeds from the dinner benefit Fr. Angelo Caserta’s Tuition Assistance Program.


St. Teresa Church to host Lenten fish fries


COVINGTON — St. Teresa Church, 6925 W. U.S. Route 36 will host their annual Lenten Fish Fries this Friday, and also on March 28 and April 11. The time is 4-7 p.m. and the price is $6.50 and includes fish, green beans, applesauce, roll, and coffee. Desserts and drinks are extra.
