Student accepted to UC
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — University of the Cumberlands has proudly accepted Sage Alexis, of Conover, for the upcoming academic year.
Sage is currently a student at Miami East High School.
Home of the Patriots, University of the Cumberlands offers promising students of all backgrounds a first class education grounded in the liberal arts within a Christian context. Located in Williamsburg, Ky., UC offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.
Casner member of Student Nurses Association
ASHLAND, Ohio — Nicole Casner of Fletcher is a member of the Student Nurses Association at Ashland University.
Casner is majoring in nursing.
She is the daughter of Jonathan and Gloria Casner of Fletcher. Casner is a 2014 graduate of Bethel High School.
Student Nurses Association (SNA) is an organization derived from the National Student Nurses Association and is dedicated to fostering the professional development of student nurses.
UF band performs “Sounds of the Stadium”
FINDLAY, Ohio — Members of the University of Findlay’s Marching Oiler Brass recently performed in a concert on Oct. 30. The band includes Jessica Weeks of Pleasant Hill.
Titled “Songs of the Stadium,” the band played songs from halftime and pregame shows. Songs included Wild West-themed selections such as “How the West was Won” and “Viva La Vida.” The band is directed by Richard Napierala.
Park University announces graduates
Parkville, Mo.—Nov. 8, 2016 — Park University’s Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Ohio) Campus Center held its commencement ceremony on Nov. 6 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Conference Center in Springfield, Ohio. Belair receives award
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Christianne Belair of Dayton was recently honored with the First Year Clinical Science Award at Southern College of Optometry. The award recognizes an optometry student demonstrating excellent promise in his or her studies.
Belair is the daughter of Chris and Carlotta Belair of Tipp City. She is a graduate of Wright State University.
