SIDNEY — Paul and Arbadella “Arbie” Frank, of rural Sidney, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 28, 2014, with their children and grandchildren.
Paul and the former Arbie Bowling were married Aug. 28, 1954, by the Rev. LeRoy Hinkle, in the parsonage of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Quincy.
Paul is the son of the late Floyd C. and Rebekah Frank. He has a living sister, Roberta Comer, of St. Paris. Another sister, Dortha June Frank, is deceased.
Arbie is the daughter of the late Rev. Elgan and Pauline Bowling. She has a sister, Betty Morrow, of Kettering, and two brothers, Bert Bowling, of Sidney, and Bruce Bowling, of DeGraff.
The Franks have six sons and four daughters-in-law, Steven and Joyce Frank, of Dayton; Ronald and Diane Frank, of Jackson Center; Kevin and Juanita Frank and Jonathan and Lori Frank, all of Sidney, and Timothy Frank and Christopher Frank, both of Columbus. They have 14 grandchildren.
The couple owned and operated Main Optical in Piqua for more than 52 years, until their retirement in 2011. They were members of the Wesleyan Church in Sidney for 57 years.
They enjoy traveling in the RV and camping.
