TIPP CITY — With the discovery of the Tipp Roller Mill by Nashville musicians on tour, the Mill has tailored a new category of concerts to fit this demand. The new series, dubbed “Road Tour,” was successfully kicked off last week by Nashville artists Amanda June and Cole Vosbury. This initial concert has created exposure for the Mill in the Nashville music community causing a second back to back concert to be scheduled by a rising new star.

On Saturday, Aug. 2, Australian roots/blues guitarist Owen Campbell takes the stage. Campbell is one of Australia’s fastest-rising slide guitar players and songwriters. His gravelly blend of blues, roots, soul and country won over the judges and audiences of “Australia’s Got Talent,” when he was selected as a finalist and second runner-up in 2012. Campbell’s second record, “The Pilgrim” was released in the U.S. in June, after hitting #1 on both Australian and Canadian blues charts. The release coincided with the launch of a U.S. tour that began with a record release party on June 2.

Opening for Campbell will be 18-year old twins, Jared and Justin Younce of Piqua. The duo, known as ReFlektion, are in their fourth year of playing gigs from Nashville to Grand Lake St. Mary’s. Recently, they made it through the first-round try-outs for NBC’s “The Voice” in Cleveland and have been the opening act for three Nashville recording artists, Chris Cavanaugh, Mark Cooke and Clark Manson. The Younces play an array of instruments and have co-written over 20 songs. Their harmonious blend is reflected in a collection of country songs with a splash of southern rock.

The Theatre is located at 225 E. Main St. in Tipp City. Admission is $15. Showtime is 8pm. For reservations call, (937) 667-3696 or visit www.TippRollerMill.com.
