A.B. Graham bazaar canceled

CONOVER — The Craft/Vendor Bazaar at the A.B. Graham Memorial Center for this Saturday, Nov. 12, has been canceled.

Scholarship nominee sought

MIAMI COUNTY — Benjamin Hiser, a graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law and Miami County resident, has been named an official nominator for the school’s Leadership Honors Program for a local student to receive a full tuition scholarship to the school’s law program.

Hiser is seeking to discuss the nomination process with local students interested in pursuing a degree in law. Criteria for the program includes an undergraduate GPA of 3.15 and an LSAT score of 152, along with others.

The deadline for Hiser to make his official nomination is Dec. 30.

YMCA offers youth night

MIAMI COUNTY – The Miami County YMCA Piqua Branch is offering a Saturday Night Live Event on Saturday, Nov. 12, for youth in first through sixth grades. This will be a fun-filled night with swimming, gym games, and the Youth Center. Pizza and lemonade will be served at the Youth Center.

Ministry program coming

MIAMI COUNTY — reviveOHIO is coming to Miami County Nov. 13-19. Each day will begin with prayer at 7 a.m., a free breakfast at 8 a.m., then community outreach. Teams will hit the streets to talk and pray with others, showing the same love and compassion Jesus showed when He walked the streets of Judea. After another round of free lunch, training and outreach, each day culminates with a free community dinner at 5:30 p.m. and a 7 p.m. service at Ginghamsburg Church, 6759 S. County Road 25-A, Tipp City.

Holiday open house planned

PIQUA — The folks at downtown Piqua’s Apple Tree Gallery are inviting everyone to stop by their store for a Holiday Open House and to get some Christmas cheer! The Annual Holiday Open House will be held Nov. 18-20, with a candlelight preview being held from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.

Apple Tree Gallery is well-known for their large selection of hand-blown glass ornaments from such noted collections as Mattarusky, Old World and Bethany Lowe. They also have a huge selection of Elaine Roesle’s Snow Children and many other collector favorites. The store has gifts in every price range and a full line of antiques.

This year, in addition to the many collectibles located in the store, they will also be selling a Longaberger Basket collection of 350 baskets. The store is brimming with Christmas items and visitors will be greeted with lots of new products including home décor items, candles and figurines.
