Rock Piqua! to wrap up
PIQUA — The third and final show in the Rock Piqua! Riverfront Concert Series will take place from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in Lock Nine Park, Piqua.
The headliner will be The Orphan, The Poet is an alternative rock band from Dayton. Opening acts will be You vs Yesterday, from Dayton, and The Weekend Classic of Mason, Ind. Food and beverage vendors also will be on hand.

Grant session on Wednesday
PIQUA — The Miami County Foundation will offer am instructional session to explain its grant application process on Wednesday, July 29 in room 511 at Edison Community College, 1973 Edison Drive, Piqua, from 9-10 a.m. Advance registration is required by phoning the foundation office at 773-9012 or email [email protected]
To be eligible for Miami County Foundation grant submission the organization must provide services directly to the citizens of Miami County, must be certified federally tax-exempt by the IRS as a 501(c) or equivalent organization, preferably 501(c)(3). Grants will not be considered for organizations that limit their services to members of any one religious group, political organizations or those whose primary purpose is to influence legislation or political view or general operating funds. Grant deadlines are the last day of February and August each year.
The purpose of the Miami County Foundation is to solicit, receive and administer assets exclusively for charitable purposes that would most effectively assist, encourage and promote the health, education and welfare of the residents of Miami County.

Kids’ Avenue sale coming
TIPP CITY — The Kids’ Avenue at Ginghamsburg sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 1 at The Avenue, 6759 S. County Road 25-A in Tipp City.
Kids’ Avenue at Ginghamsburg is a bi-annual kids consignment sale sponsored by Ginghamsburg’s Mom2Mom ministry, a Christian-based group for moms of all ages offering gently used clothes, toys, games, nursery items and more.
Boutique Avenue also will be selling hand-crafted items with mom and kids in mind.

5K run/walk set
COVINGTON — The Miami County Park District will hold a 5K trail run/walk at 9 a.m. on Aug. 6 at Stillwater Prairie Reserve, 9750 State Route 185 north of Covington. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
