Vintage clothing available for event
PLEASANT HILL — The Pleasant Hill’s History Center will be open Monday, June 20 from 3-7 p.m. and again on Wednesday, June 22 from 3-5 p.m. so those interested can come in and browse a rack of vintage clothing sent over from the Elizabeth Township Historical Society. These clothes will be available for loan to anyone wishing to dress in period clothing or planning to ride on a float for Pleasant Hill’s Sesquicentennial Day on June 25.
The day will include many activities, including the Sons of Union Veterans Civil War, a Prince and Princess contest, entertainment, food vendors, old fashioned games for children and adults, a pet show and K-9’s show and more.
PIQUA — Amazing Grace Day Camp and Vacation Bible School “The Jesus Way” will be held Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 248 Wood St., Piqua.
Day Camp is a week-long camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those entering first grade through seventh grade without needing to stay away from home.
Counselors from Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Ohio lead the day camp in partnership with St. John’s Lutheran Church, Piqua.
VBS is from 9-11 a.m. for age 3 through entering kindergarten.
Each day of camp and VBS is filled with activities that include crafts, singing, games, sports, Bible study and special events. Lunch is provided for the day campers and there will be a Family Night Thursday with ice cream treats.

TROY — Join staff for a 1950’s style dance party at the Troy-Miami County Public Library, 419 W. Main St., Troy, at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Take part in hula hoop and bubble gum blowing contests, and feel free to dress in ’50s style. This event is for the whole family.
