Students named to dean’s lists

• ALLIANCE — The following area students were named to the 2016 spring dean’s list at the University of Mount Union: Renee DeFord of Casstown, and Brian Olson of Covington.

To be eligible for dean’s list, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework while achieving a grade point average of 3.550 or better with no grade below a B.

• DAYTON — Victor Castaldo of Covington, was named to the spring 2016 dean’s list with highest honors at Wright State University.

To be named to the dean’s list at WSU, a student must have at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester, and must have completed for the semester at least 12 hours of credit for courses in which they have received grades of A, B, or C.

• DELAWARE — The following local students made the 2016 spring semester dean’s list at Ohio Wesleyan University: Alyssa McKinney of Piqua, and Mary Tesch of Tipp City.

To qualify for OWU dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

• WILMINGTON — Several area residents are named to the Wilmington College dean’s list for the 2016 spring semester.

To be eligible for the dean’s list honor, a student must be enrolled fulltime and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Wilmington College, a career-oriented liberal arts institution affiliated with the Society of Friends (Quakers), is located in southwestern Ohio, approximately one hour from Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton. Two branches in Cincinnati serve a large number of non-traditional students. Additional information may be obtained at www.wilmington.edu.

Area residents named to the dean’s list from the main campus are listed with their status and major; those attaining a 4.0 are noted:

Covington — Brittany L. Ross, sophomore, athletic training.

Laura — Stephanie C. Fetters, senior, agriculture; Alexander M. Renner, junior (4.0), agriculture.

Pleasant Hill — Trista K. Lavy, senior, agriculture.

Tipp City — Lindsay N. Brookhart, senior, agriculture.

• ADA — The following Ohio Northern University students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester 2016.

Conover — Luke B. Harmon

Piqua — Kourtney P. Brueckner, Alaina M. Mikolajewski and Samuel J. Roth.

Pleasant Hill — Laura R. Houtz Burden, Reid W. Ferrell and Trinity A. Lavy.

Tipp City — Lauren A. Brackman, Ellen E. Freeh, Alyssa M. Jones and Alexa C. Lammers.

Troy — Emily C. Layman and Megan M. Myers.

• WILMINGTON – Several area residents are named to the Wilmington College Dean’s List for the 2016 spring semester.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List honor, a student must be enrolled full-time and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Covington — Brittany L. Ross, sophomore, athletic training.

• TIFFIN — A total of 327 Heidelberg University students have been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Heidelberg University, according to Provost Dr. Beth M. Schwartz. Among the local/area students on the dean’s list are the following:

Tyler Hunter of Tipp City, a sophomore Health Science major.

Anna Kiesewetter of Piqua, a freshman undeclared major.

Jarett Wasson of Tipp City, a sophomore Psychology and Criminal Justice major.

• HIRAM — The following student from Miami County received a bachelor’s degree from Hiram College on May 14.

Jenna E. Nelson of Tipp City has been honored.

• FAIRBORN — Wright State University has announced that Victor Castaldo of Covington, has been named to the dean’s list at Wright State University.

Castaldo is a freshman and graduate of Troy High School.
