March 21

Criminal damage: The back window of a vehicle was broken out overnight in the 600 block of Covington Avenue.

Lost property: Police discovered a bicycle near a creek in the 800 block of Covington Avenue. The bike was recovered and secured by police and placed into the department’s property room. The bike will be released if an owner can be verified.

Assist motorist: Police responded to Jo Ann Fabrics and Crafts, 1256 E. Ash St., after a child was locked in a car.

Found property: Police found a used hypodermic needle on the sidewalk in front of a house near Bennett Intermediate School, 625 S. Main St. The items was collected and disposed of accordingly.

Theft: A purse was reported stolen in the 100 block of Carr Street. The purse was later returned to the owner.

Theft: A pizza delivery driver gave a male a ride while delivering pizza. After the good deed, the pizza delivery driver noticed that his wallet was missing. The suspect was located, but denied knowledge or involvement in the theft.

March 22

Burglary: Police responded to the 200 block of South Main Street after an apartment was entered and items were taken. No suspects at this time.

Disturbance: Police responded to Budget Inn and Suites, 902 Scot Drive, after a disturbance where the tenants of a room were kicked out for being loud.

Theft: Police responded to Illusions, 118 N. Main St., after a subject reported her car, wallet and cell phone were stolen overnight.

Criminal damage: Police responded to the 700 block of Cottage Avenue after a windshield was shot with a BB gun.

Drug offense: Police responded to the 300 block of Wood Street after a needle was found in an alley. It was collected and properly disposed of.

Assault: Police responded to the Piqua Village Apartments, 1345 Covington Ave., after a female reported her ex-boyfriend came to her apartment and was upset about his grandmother being in the hospital. He got upset with the ex-girlfriend and threw a “full can of Red Bull at her.” The can missed the woman, but struck her young son in the head.

March 23

Disturbance: Police responded to Lucky’s, 108 N. Main St., after two subjects were fighting in the parking lot outside of the bar. All parties were warned for disorderly conduct.

Menacing: A woman called police after a suspect threatened to slit her throat while she was shopping at Walmart. The suspect was charged with menacing.
