PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant’s truck was struck by an unknown object and was damaged on the 800 block of W. North Street sometime between April 6-20.
A window appeared to have been damaged by a rock on the 700 block of Young Street sometime between 1 a.m. and 8:38 a.m. on April 21.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: A resident reported finding a used syringe in a front yard on the 600 block of W. Ash Street on April 20 at 4:39 p.m. The syringe was disposed of.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was reportedly taken by accident at Piqua Central Intermediate School on April 20. It was placed into police property.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of an intoxicated male in the alley in the area of W. Ash and N. Wayne streets on April 21 at 12:05 a.m. He was warned for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of a male subject on a porch kicking and breaking things on the 400 block of S. Downing Street on April 22 at 12:21 a.m.
BURGLARY: A garage was reportedly broken into overnight on the 600 block of Broadway between April 20-21. Numerous tools were taken.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit skip accident at Kroger on April 21 at 1:53 p.m.
FRAUD: A resident reported receiving a recorded message claiming to be from the IRS, which claimed the resident would be sued if he did not make a payment. The resident reported this on April 21 and wanted the police department to be aware of possible fraud.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of an unknown subject attempting to get into a residence on the 400 block of S. Downing Street on April 22 at 1:20 a.m. Police checked the area, and the subject was not located.
