TROY — Cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to attend the annual Relay for Life Survivor Dinner Celebration.
The dinner is held immediately after the Survivor Lap to kick off the Annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Miami County, which will be held at the Miami County Fairgrounds in Troy. Opening ceremonies start at 5:45 p.m. Friday, May 6, with the fun continuing until the Fight Back Ceremony at noon Saturday, May 7. The theme this year is “Superheroes.”
Registering for the Survivor Dinner Celebration is required and free by visiting www.relayforlife.org/MiamiCounty. Unable to register online? No problem. Fill out the registration form and mail it to Nicole Bolin, 1126 Covington Ave., Piqua OH 45356, or come to the survivor registration table that opens at 4 p.m. in the Survivorship Hall. Registration will remain open until the opening ceremonies begin.
Upon registration, each survivor will receive a T-shirt, gift bag, and a Superhero to be decorated for you and your caregiver. There will be three tickets in each gift bag — 2 for the Survivor Dinner Celebration and one ticket to enter the drawing for a “Money Cake.” The drawing for the “Money Cake” will be at noon Saturday, May 7. The survivor must be present to win. Extra hints will be given during the Survivor Celebration for you to better your chances of winning.
