Gas line struck

Piqua Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 7:58 a.m. on the report of a gas leak. The contractor had already contacted Vectren, who arrived and repaired the damaged line. Offices and residences near the intersection were temporarily evacuated and the roads closed as a safety precaution. Firefighters cleared the scene around 9:30. There were no injuries.
