PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
THEFT: A caller reported a bicycle stolen on the 300 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on April 11 between 6-6:18 p.m.
A male suspect reportedly pumped gas and did not pay for it at the Marathon on the 200 block of W. Water Street on April 11 at 10:40 a.m.
A bicycle was reported stolen on the 200 block of Race Street on April 11 between 1 a.m. and 11:08 a.m.
Two white males reportedly stole six tires from the front of Express Care on the 1600 block of Covington Avenue on April 3. The males were in a dark-colored, regular cab Dodge Ram with a silver toolbox in the truck bed.
A complainant reported that some females left Buckle and the Miami Valley Centre Mall without paying for items they took on April 11 between 6:17 p.m. and 6:26 p.m.
A woman reported her purse stolen at JC Penny on April 12 at 2:53 p.m.
A complainant reported losing a wallet while at Walmart on April 12 between 10-10:24 p.m.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit skip accident on the 300 block of South Street on April 11 at 4:05 p.m. The suspect was possibly in a black Pontiac Bonneville with a female driver, according to police reports.
CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A male allegedly broke a window on another person’s car on the 100 block of Morrow Street on April 12 at 5:05 p.m. David A. Knasel, 34, of Arcanum was charged with second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with this incident.
MENACING: While responding to a criminal damage complaint, Piqua police also discovered a menacing complaint on the 100 block of Morrow Street on April 12 at 7:55 p.m. David A. Knasel, 34, of Arcanum was charged with first-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest and fourth-degree misdemeanor menacing in connection with this incident. Knasel is being held at the Miami County Jail on $2,500 bond.
SUSPICIOUS: There were two vehicles running in the Paul Sherry car dealer’s lot on the 8600 block of N. Country Road 25-A on April 12 at 11:51 p.m.
ASSAULT: A victim reported that a male and female assaulted him inside the Bent Tree Apartments on the 1200 block of Garbry Road on April 13 at 1:40 a.m.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: There were four telecommunication harassment complaints between April 11 at 7 p.m. and April 12 at 11:21 p.m.
