PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
WARRANT: Piqua police responded to a report of a parole violation on the 800 block of Virginia Street on March 30 at 7:27 a.m. The suspect reportedly fled on foot and did not return. Chad D. Reiher, 33, of Piqua was charged with second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business. A warrant for his arrest was requested.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of a suspicious male on the 1200 block of Camaro Court on March 30 at 9:43 a.m. The male stated he was visiting friends. A syringe and needle still in the package were reportedly found on his person and will be discarded.
THEFT: Two females were allegedly shoplifting from Elder Beerman on March 20 at 12:48 p.m. Peggy S. Marlow, 21, of Sidney and Crystal D. Marlow, 38, of Sidney were charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.
A bicycle was reported stolen from the 300 block of E. Water Street overnight between March 29-30.
A female reported that she left her purse outside of the Piqua Public Library, located on the 100 block of W. High Street, on March 30 at 6:13 p.m. She stated it was taken.
A complainant reported that his cell phone had been stolen and a tire on his vehicle was slashed on the 300 block of South Street on March 30 at 9 p.m.
There was a report of a male stealing a 24 oz. can of Bud Light from Kroger on March 30 at 9:47 p.m.
A complainant reported that her prescription medication was missing from her residence on the 700 block of McKinley Avenue on March 31 at 12:40 a.m.
There was a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle on the 1100 block of Van Way on March 31 at 8 a.m.
A vehicle was reportedly broken into and an income tax return check was stolen on the 200 block of Looney Road on March 21 at 1:10 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a fight between two students at the Piqua High School on March 30 at 1:50 p.m. Both students were charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
An intoxicated male was reportedly observed in the roadway on the 300 block of South Street on March 30 at 10:36 p.m. He was warned for disorderly conduct.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was report of a hit skip accident happening on private property on Deerfield Crossing sometime between March 27-30.
TRAFFIC STOP: A traffic stop was conducted on a bicyclist for no front or rear lights on the 100 block of N. College Street on March 30 at 8:49 p.m. “The operator of the bicycle was found to be under the influence of alcohol,” according to police reports. David E. Ward, 52, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI.
