PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

THEFT: A driver in a black vehicle allegedly drove off with gas and without paying for it at Marathon, located on the 200 block of W. Water Street, on March 23 at 7 a.m.

Cash was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 700 block of Gordon Street between 11 p.m. March 23 and 11 a.m. March 24.

There was a report of a motor vehicle theft on the 100 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on March 24 at noon. A male suspect allegedly drove off with the victim’s vehicle. Michael R. Smith, 38, of Springfield was charged with fourth-degree felony theft in connection with this incident.

HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit skip accident in the Aldi parking lot, located on the 1200 block of E. Ash Street, on March 23 at 12:50 p.m.

BURGLARY: A caller reported a possible burglary at her residence on the 1200 block of N. Sunset Drive between March 22 at 7:30 p.m. and March 23 at 12:13 p.m. Medication was reported missing.

There was a report of a garage burglary on the 300 block of E. Water Street on March 24 between 6:30-9:40 a.m. Tools were reported stolen.

FRAUD: An unknown suspect reportedly made fraudulent checks from a victim’s business and cashed them at Main Source Bank sometime between March 15-23.

DRUG OFFENSE: Drug paraphernalia was reportedly collected and placed into evidence from a residence on the 600 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on March 23.

There was a report of a possible drug overdose in a bathroom at Zs Food and Spirits, located on the 300 block of N. Wayne Street, on March 23 at 7:40 p.m. According to police reports, there was a syringe in the trashcan and police recovered capsules of suspected heroin. Henry A. Ward, Jr., 34, of Troy was charged with first-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument and fifth-degree felony possession of heroin in connection with this incident.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A basement window was reportedly broken overnight between March 23-24 on the 600 block of S. Wayne Street.

DISTURBANCE: Bradley C. Roark, 25, of Piqua was charged with fifth-degree felony domestic violence on March 25.
