PIQUA — The Johnston Farm Friends Council will sponsor “An Evening with Mark Twain,” featuring actor Warren Brown, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in the Fort Piqua Plaza Grand Ballroom.

The evening will begin with heavy hors d’oeuvres and period music. Twain will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. and share a variety of observations on American life. Afterward, he will answer questions from the audience, first in character, then as Brown himself.

Brown, who received the Studs Terkel Humanities Service Award for his Chautauqua-style portrayal of Twain, has performed more than 1,000 programs throughout the U.S. since 1996.

“This promises to be a great evening with one of America’s best-known humorists,” said Andy Hite, site manager for Johnston Farm & Indian Agency.

This event is reservation-only, with an April 11 deadline. The cost is $35 general adult admission, and $30 for Johnston Farm Friends and Ohio History Connection members.

For reservations, call the Johnston Farm & Indian Agency at (937) 773-2522.
