PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant reported on March 11 that his truck’s windshield had been damaged sometime within the last 48 hours at the Colonial Terrace Apartments, located on the 1900 block of Covington Avenue.

Multiple vehicles were egged overnight on the 300 block of Franklin Street, the 1000 block of W. High Street, the 700 block of W. Greene Street, the 900 block of W. High Street, the 400 block of N. Downing Street, the 500 block of New Street, and the 1200 block of Marwood Drive between March 11-12.

A vehicle’s windshield was damaged overnight on the 300 block of N. Wayne Street between March 11-12.

A fence was damaged on the 1400 block of Madison Avenue on March 12.

A suspect reportedly kicked a complainant’s vehicle, causing dents, on the 1100 block of W. Water Street on March 13 at 1:45 a.m. Aaron M. Foster, 25, of Piqua was charged with second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with this incident.

A vehicle was egged overnight on the 700 block of Blaine Avenue between March 12-13.

THEFT: A male reportedly tried to steal food from Kroger on March 11 at 12:48 p.m.

A male subject reportedly took “items out of packaging and concealing them on his person” at Walmart on March 12 at 1:22 a.m. The male was also found to be intoxicated. John A. Noel, 20, of Saint Paris was charged with first-degree misdemeanor underage alcohol consumption and first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

There was a report of a theft of a case of beer from Family Dollar on the 600 block of W. High Street on March 12 at 12:44 p.m. Zakery A. Kirkland, 24, of Piqua was charged with two probation violations and second-degree misdemeanor obstructing official business in connection with this incident. Ian M. Townsend, 22, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

A resident reported that someone stole her temporary tags off her vehicle on the 500 block of Kitt Street on March 12 at 1:45 p.m.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: There was a report of a dog being on the roof of a house on the 900 block of Broadway on March 11 at 4:40 p.m. The owner stated that “the dog liked to go on the roof when it was a nice day out,” according to police reports. The owner brought the dog inside.

An injured dog was found running at large on the 900 block of Covington Avenue on March 11 at 7 p.m. The animal shelter responded and seized the dog. The case is pending.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance at a residence on Nicklin Avenue on March 12 at 12:13 a.m. Brandon M. Jones, 31, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with this incident. He is reportedly at large and wanted by another county.

Brian A. Howard, 18, of Piqua was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor domestic violence on March 12.

There was a report of one male threatening another with a gun in the parking lot of McDonalds, located on the 900 block of E. Ash Street, on March 12 at 2:30 p.m. The suspects reportedly fled prior to officer arrival.

TRESPASSING: There was a report of a male subject attempting to get into a garage on the 1900 block of Beckert Drive on March 13 at 3 p.m.

SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of several subject sitting inside a vehicle for an extended period of time at the Budgetel Inn and Suites on March 14 at 1:52 a.m. The subjects gave consent to let officers search the vehicle. An open container and possible drug paraphernalia were reportedly found in the vehicle. One subject was charged with having an open container and another might be charged once the lab report comes back.
