UF students inducted

FINDLAY Students at the University of Findlay were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Phi Kappa Phi recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engages the community of scholars in service to others.

Kindergarten registration upcoming

CASSTOWN —Kindergarten registrations for Miami East Elementary will take place on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (by appointment) at the elementary.

Parents who have a child who will be 5 years of age on or before Aug. 1 are encouraged to call the elementary school office at (937) 335-5439, Ext. 6001 and school secretary Mrs. Mumford will take your information.

Open house set for Y preschool

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA Piqua branch is holding an open house from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 24 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 325 W. Ash St., Piqua, for the following programs: Wee Little School (3 year olds), Little School (4-5 year olds), Pre-K (children entering kindergarten the following school year).

Families will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, tour the rooms and participate in a craft.
