MIAMI COUNTY — At their meeting Tuesday, the Miami County Commissioners approved several purchases.
The commissioners authorized the purchase of six tablets and two light bars for the Sheriff’s Office.
The six Surface Pro 4 tablets, along with their related hardware and accessories, will be installed in the Sheriff’s Office’s new cruisers. The cost of the tablets is not to exceed $16,027.
The light bars, at a cost not to exceed $2,792, will also be installed on the department’s new cruisers.
The commissioners also approved repairs to a 2005 Ford Ranger pickup belonging to the Sanitary Engineering department.
The vehicle was damaged in an accident last month and will cost about $1,039 to be repaired.
Swabb’s Auto Sales in Fletcher submitted the lowest quote.
The commissioners approved a sanitary sewer line installation project through the CHIP grant program. The grant will fund the sewer hook-up for a Tipp City home at a cost of $2,500.
