PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports highlights. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
DISTURBANCE: Matthew R. Weigel, 43, of Piqua and Matthew J. Weigel, 18, of Piqua were charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with a report of a physical disturbance on Feb. 12 at 7:50 a.m.
There was a report of subjects arguing on the 500 block of W. Water Street on Feb. 12 at 5:13 p.m. “All subjects were warned for disorderly conduct,” according to police reports.
THEFT: There was a report of $400 being stolen from a residence on the 100 block of First Street. It was reported on Feb. 12. The money was stolen sometime between Feb. 8-9.
A complainant reported property stolen on the 1200 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue on Feb. 12 at 3:50 p.m.
There was a report of a subject stealing a 24-pack of Bud Light from the Shell gas station on the 600 block of South Street on Feb. 15 at 3:17 a.m. The subject reportedly ran towards Kitt Street.
FRAUD: A complainant reported receiving a fraudulent phone call that claimed the U.S. Treasury was giving him $7,000 if he paid a $230 fee to obtain the money on Feb. 12.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of someone throwing eggs at vehicles in the area of Madison and Park Avenues on Feb. 12 at 7:45 p.m. An officer checked the area and did not locate anyone throwing eggs or any egged vehicles.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: An unknown vehicle reportedly knocked over a security light pole at the Shell gas station on the 600 block of South Street on Feb. 13 at 10:43 a.m.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A complainant reported that someone had gone through her vehicle in the Ulbrich’s Market parking lot on the 400 block of S. Wayne Street on Feb. 13 at 4 p.m.
OVI: During a traffic stop, Anthony M. Paulino, 21, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI. The traffic stop was made in the area of E. Water and N. Main Streets on Feb. 14 at 2:14 a.m.
FOUND PROPERTY: On Feb. 14 at 7:34 p.m., a cell phone “was turned in and possibly contained inappropriate pictures involving minors,” according to police reports. It was reportedly found at Family Dollar on the 600 block of W. High Street.
FALSE ALARM: A male reported his vehicle was stolen from his residence on the 400 block of Pinewood Avenue on Feb. 14. According to police reports, it was determined that the male had allegedly “wrecked the vehicle and falsely claimed that it had been stolen.” David K. White, 23, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor making false alarms.
