CLARK COUNTY — The Tipp City man who was accused of dumping a skinned cow carcass in the middle of a Clark County road earlier this month pleaded guilty to the traffic charge in Clark County Municipal Court on Wednesday.

Ethan Manuel, 24, of Tipp City, entered a plea of guilty for failing to secure a load on a motor vehicle in Clark County Court on Wednesday.

On Jan. 8, Clark County deputies were dispatched in response to a call of a skinned cow lying in the middle of the 6300 block of Addison-Carlisle Road in New Carlisle.

Manuel was reportedly the owner of the cow, who claimed the cow died after giving birth.

Manuel told the Clark County Sheriff’s Office that the cow fell off the truck as it was being transported to be disposed of, according to reports. According to reports, Manuel attempted to locate the cow, and called the sheriff’s office after he saw news reports about the incident.
