PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
LOST PROPERTY: A female reported losing a cell phone at Zs Food and Spirits on Jan. 1.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT: There was a report of a juvenile male getting bitten by a dog on the 700 block of Blaine Avenue on Jan. 1 at 4:40 p.m. An officer located the dog and the owner, according to police reports. Steven P. Brown, 37, of Piqua was cited for fourth-degree misdemeanor permitting dogs to bite in connection with this incident.
SUSPICIOUS: A complainant stated she heard a gun shot coming from a room at the Roosevelt Manor Apartments on Jan. 1 at 7:30 p.m. The room was checked and nothing was found. A subject with an outstanding warrant was found in the room and taken into custody.
The was a report of a possible underage party on the 800 block of South Street on Jan. 1 at 8:30 p.m. There was only one minor found at the residence, and the minor was not drinking any alcohol.
There was another report of a possible underage drinking on the 8700 block of Sherry Drive on Jan. 2 at 6 a.m. The subjects refused to open the door.
HIT SKIP: There was a hit skip accident reported on the 600 block of Gordon Street on Jan. 1 at 9:10 p.m. The vehicle that was at fault was not located.
THEFT: A caller reported that someone had gone through her vehicle near the Roosevelt Manor Apartments between noon on Dec. 29 and noon on Jan. 2.
A subject allegedly attempted to steal Blu-ray discs from Walmart on Jan. 2 at 7:44 p.m. Chad D. McLaughlin, 24, of Piqua was cited with theft in connection with this incident.
There was a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 400 block of S. Downing Street between Jan. 2-3.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A female reportedly attempted to return a cheeseburger from several days ago at Burger King on Jan. 2 at 4:15 p.m. The customer was asked to leave but reportedly started yelling in the business. Dianne C. Jones, 58, of Piqua was cited with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
There was a report of subjects “arguing, fighting, and being disorderly, outside in the street” outside of Zs Food and Spirits on Jan. 3 at 2:30 a.m. Joshua D. Crumpler, 25, of Piqua was cited with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct; and Gary P. Kloecker, 44, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor in connection with this incident. Brian A. Nelson, 27, of Troy was charged with minor misdemeanor drug possession, first-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest, and fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant returned home from vacation and found the window on their vehicle busted on the 1000 block of Washington Avenue on Jan. 2. The window was reportedly shattered with two small holes in it.
