PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
THEFT: A vehicle was reportedly broken into overnight between Dec. 6-7 on the 900 block of Camp Street. Items were taken.
A subject reported losing his wallet at Waffle House on Dec. 6 at 11:30 p.m. When he returned the next day at 7:40 a.m., the wallet had been stolen.
A caller reported an issue with an evicted tenant on the 500 block of Boone Street on Dec. 7. A dishwasher was reported stolen from that residence between 12 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. on Dec. 7.
A bicycle was reported taken from a residence on the 900 block of Marlboro Avenue between Nov. 23 and Dec. 7.
Tools that had been reported stolen on July 9 were recovered at a business in Piqua on Dec. 7. The suspect who had reportedly pawned the tools was charged with receiving stolen property.
A vehicle was reportedly broken into on the 100 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue overnight between Dec. 6-7. Items were taken.
There was a report of a possible employee at UPS who “may be stealing packages from the warehouse,” according to police reports. It was reported on Dec. 8, but the alleged incident occurred on Dec. 3.
FRAUD: A female allegedly defrauded Advance America Cash Advance “by taking out a fraudulent loan by use of deception,” according to Piqua police reports. It was reported on Dec. 7, but occurred on Oct. 14. A warrant was requested for Shaina M. Reed, 30, of Sidney for first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of a burglary after a resident believed someone had attempted to gain access to a his house on the 700 block of Broadway after his alarm went off. No entry was made into the home, and it occurred sometime between 1:45 a.m. and 11:17 a.m. on Dec. 7.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A windshield was reportedly found to be cracked on a a vehicle on the 300 block of S. Roosevelt Avenue. The damage occurred sometime between Dec. 6-8.
A vehicle on the 600 block of Ann Street was reportedly damaged sometime between Nov. 24 and Dec. 8.
